Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and gather analytics. See Section 5 for details.

  • To create and manage your account on the Platform.
  • To match startups with suitable student engineers.
  • To communicate updates, confirmations, and relevant platform activity.
  • To improve the Platform through analytics and usage insights.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with: (a) other users on the Platform to the extent necessary for matching and project coordination; (b) trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processors) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; (c) law enforcement or regulators if required by law.

4Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. We will comply within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain data longer.

5Cookies & Tracking

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how users interact with our Platform. GA4 collects anonymised usage data. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the GA Opt-out Browser Add-on. Essential cookies required for the Platform to function cannot be disabled.

6Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure data storage via Supabase — to protect your personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to responding promptly to any breach.

7Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data.
  • Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including marketing.

8Children's Privacy

Our Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on the Platform. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
